ABOUT THIS BRACELET

Art Deco jewelry was not all diamonds and geometric shapes. Jewelers of the era also created some fabulously colorful and, as this bracelet proves, highly imaginative pieces. The focal point--a glossy burnt orange carnelian carved with a cat in repose (bearing a quite piercing gaze)--is joined to ribbed bar links connected by hexagonal onyx and round carnelian links. Adding an element of asymmetrical surprise, a variegated carved jade disk joins the mix, while an elongated carved jade dangles by a bit of gold chain. When we say 'one of a kind,' this is what we mean. Crafted in 14K gold, it measures 7 inches.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
