ABOUT THIS BROOCH

A spectacular piece of wearable art. This high Art Deco treasure dates back to the peak of the period - circa 1925 - the apex of fine jewelry craftsmanship. A rich green, hand carved, oval jadeite plaque is presented in an exotically designed platinum frame with insets of black enamel and tiny cabochon rubies, sapphires, emeralds and onyx. A retractable bail allows it to be worn as a pendant, includes 18 inch chain. A superb and beautiful jewel for the Art Deco connoisseur.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
