ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Carving jade is no small feat. Traditional methods involve using bone, bamboo, stone instruments, and sand, while the modern process requires diamond-cutting tools because of the stone's hardness. Whatever the technique used to create this necklace, the results are undeniably beautiful. The oval plaque, carved with a foliate motif and drilled with small holes that create a cool random negative space design, suspends from a fine 16 inch cable chain by way of a fluted bail. You'll want to carve out some space in your jewel box for this one. Hand fabricated in 14K yellow gold. Accompanied by a gemological certificate from the Stone Group Lab stating: Natural, no indications of treatment.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
