ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Carved by a true artisan during the Art Deco era (circa 1920s), this 2 inch long, bright apple green jadeite (much prettier than the photo), carved with a lavish foliate motif, is embellished with glittering diamond-set flowers and suspends from a new 18-inch platinum chain. From the Rhode Island jewelry manufacturer W. Loeb. Providence, Rhode Island, known for its famed jewelry district, was, until the 1980s, considered the "Jewelry Capital of the World" and once produced around 25 percent of all jewelry in the United States. This piece represents Loeb and Rhode Island's rich legacy.
