ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Jade. Every piece is a delightful world unto itself. In this beautifully balanced Art Deco necklace, an elegant cable chain is simply accented with two jade beads, each with its own unique mottled coloring, and connects to a gleaming oval pierced plaque carved with a foliate motif. Serenely dangling below by way of a flower-accented bail is a matching elongated pear-shaped carving. Hand fabricated in 14K gold, circa 1930s. Chain measures 18 inches. Jades accompanied by gemological reports from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of polymers or dyes. Myanmar (Burma) - origin.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
