ABOUT THIS RING

In this chic and distinctive Jazz Age jewel, rendered in the vaunted tutti-frutti style (although in this case duo-chromatic), the creative use of negative space creates a cool pattern that contrasts--in striking fashion--with the intriguing shapes and borders that glitter with baguettes, single, and transitional round brilliant-cut diamonds. However, the true stars of the show are eight glowing bright cherry-red carved rubies that add captivating color all around. Uniquely Art Deco, circa 1925, in glorious red and white. Just a tad over 3/8 inch wide. Total diamond weight - 2.00 carats, total ruby weight - 2.55 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum. Now, and forever, ring size 4 3/4. Condition note: gemstones show wear commensurate with the age of the ring.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
