ABOUT THIS RING

An enchanting gemstone: a dusky, beautifully polished octagonal chalcedony quartz, highlighted by its bright white gold bezel setting, is the centerpiece of this arresting 1930s vintage Art Deco ring. The captivating stone, speckled with hues of blue (chrysocolla) and orange (iron), is further accented by a frame of interlocking green and black enamel triangles supported by an ornamental scalloped filigree gallery. Shoulders decorated with a classic enameled Deco design motif and fine millegrain edging add the finishing flourishes to this unique and striking Jazz Age jewel. Die-struck in 14K white gold. Measures 3/4 by 5/8 inch. Currently ring size 6 1/2.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
