ABOUT THIS BROOCH

If you look at a painting long enough, you'll continue to find details that both intrigue and delight. The same is true of this magnificent masterpiece in the form of an Art Deco brooch. Its curvy shape is frosted with exceptionally white and glittering European, Swiss, and single-cut diamonds and surrounds an exquisite flower centered by a bright icy-white .80 carat European-cut diamond. The jewel's openwork design and fine piercing work create lovely detail and striking negative space shapes, while sashes of glimmering calibre emeralds add vibrant color. A breathtaking work of wearable art worthy of display—on you! Total diamond weight - 7.00 carats, total emerald weight - 1.85 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum circa the 1920s-30s. Pin stem is 18K yellow gold.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
