ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Reminiscent of the dapper bird jewels by designer Raymond C. Yard, this cock of the walk never looked so spiffy. Our fine- feathered friend, glittering with sparkling white diamonds, sports a bejeweled walking stick tucked neatly under his carved ruby wing, whilst glossy black onyx calibre accents his boater hat, cane handle, and spats. An Art Deco dandy, hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1925. Total diamond weight - .40 carat, total gemstone weight - 5.62 carats. Condition note: ruby wing has a natural crystal that fell out, it is not chipped.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
