ABOUT THIS RING

Black and white. Nobody did it better than the jewelers of the Art Deco era. Always a striking combination, these hues of extreme contrast were artfully used to create all manner of captivating jewels. This ring sparkles brightly with a .68 carat old mine-cut diamond presented in a delicately milgrained octagonal setting framed by twinkling single-cut diamonds that alternate with glossy French-cut black onyx, while quintets of single-cut scintillate on the elegantly flared shoulders. Ample proof that opposites do attract. Total diamond weight, 1.13 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum by New York City jeweler Klebanoff & Grossman, circa 1920s. Currently ring size 5 3/4.

How to Pair Your Wedding Band

You found your ideal, beautiful, one-of-a-kind antique or vintage engagement ring… and then realized that you need a wedding band to go with it. Pairing the two can be tricky, since vintage engagement rings rarely come with matching bands, and many modern bands don’t accommodate vintage shapes and designs. So we created a line of vintage-style wedding bands, modeled after original pieces from our collection.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
