ABOUT THESE EARRINGS
These smart early Art Deco earrings (circa 1920) present solid button shapes crafted in platinum over 18K gold, each embellished with a cross set with vibrant raspberry-red synthetic rubies* and centered by a glittering European-cut diamond. Quartets of lively single-cut diamonds in square shapes further brighten these distinctive lobe decorations. Total diamond weight, .38 carat. Hand-fabricated in platinum over 18K gold (posts and backs are 18K gold). *Original to the piece and to the period (the 1920s), synthetic rubies were used for their color consistency and flawless clarity.
