Art Deco Diamond and *Sapphire Filigree Bracelet
40-1-11257
ABOUT THIS BRACELET
Fifteen fine fanciful filigree links distinguish this delightful Depression-era wrist bauble. The lacy links are alternately embellished with diagonal rows of sparkling white European-cut diamonds and mirror-image arcs of tiny cobalt blue scissor-cut calibre *synthetic sapphires, creating a jewel that is stunning worn alone or stacked with other line bracelets. Total diamond weight .35 carat. Crafted in platinum over 14K gold, circa 1930. Measures 7 1/4 inches.*Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic (a.k.a. lab grown) sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, besides the fact that the virtually undetectable differences are only discernible with a microscope.
