ABOUT THIS WATCH

We imagine that no one was seriously concerned with time while making merry at the speakeasy. However, should someone have inquired about the hour, checking a stunning timepiece was a glamorous way to announce a specific moment in the evening. This horological wonder, by Péry Watch,* presents a ravishing rectangular focal piece--the watch case surrounded by a shimmering array of icy-white and sparkling clear baguette and single-cut diamonds--that centers a bracelet set with scintillating European-cut stones. The sides are exquisitely engraved with neoclassical designs, adding the final fabulous flourish to this captivating chronometer. Total diamond weight, 4.50 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it measures 7 1/4 inches. *Péry, a municipality in Switzerland, was the home of Péry watch, opened by watch manufacturer Dreyfus Frères SA of Biel in 1903. The company did not survive the financial crisis of the 1930s, and the building was converted in 1934 into a typewriter ribbon, stencils and carbon paper factory.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
