ABOUT THIS RING

Jewelry is the unique vision of each craftsman, expressing individual sensibilities and aesthetics. This lovely Art Deco jewel is distinctively pierced to create an artful openwork design, complete with a center 'bow' beautifully accented north and south with a duo of crisply sparkling European-cut diamonds set in elegant pear-shaped settings. The overall form of the ring is a scalloped navette that leads to flared shoulders--engraved with a neoclassical pattern--creating a graceful wing-like effect. Not all artwork hangs on walls. Total diamond weight, .25 carat. Hand fabricated in 18K gold by renowned New York jeweler, Belais Bros. (the first jeweler to introduce 18K white gold to America), circa 1930. Currently ring size 5 3/4.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
