Art Deco Diamond Double-Clip Brooch
ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Here is an ingenious twist on a pair of classic Art Deco double clips. Instead of parallel lines meeting in the center to create this spectacular jewel, a supremely sparkling 1.50 carat European-cut diamond, accented above and beneath with smaller European cuts and set in a navette-shaped bezel, is attached to the bracket and serves as the high-voltage centerpiece of an edgy openwork brooch that can be worn alone when the clips are removed. Each of the clips shines with a European-cut diamond (1.00 carat and .90 carat) set in a geometric design shimmering with smaller stones, and accented with highly polished pairs of small platinum columns. Wow! An utterly alluring--and very versatile--Jazz Age marvel, circa 1925. Total diamond weight, 7.30 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum with an 18K white gold frame and pin stem.
