Moving away from the flowing, organic lines of the Art Nouveau movement, Art Deco design associated art with modern industry. From architecture to adornment, clean curves and lines characterized the aesthetic. This stunning piece is a blend of both, a striking sculptural structure lavishly decorated with a highly distinctive arrangement of diamonds. The ring's wide platinum shank rises and widens on one side to meet an angular asymmetrical design, set with round and baguette diamonds and accented by a serpentine center shimmering with single-cut diamonds. A side gallery of openwork geometric shapes adds an airy finishing detail to this extraordinary statement jewel and testament to the artistry of an iconic era. A bold and brilliant beauty. Total diamond weight, 1.80 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1930, it is currently ring size 7.
