ABOUT THESE EARRINGS

Sea creatures are mesmerizing and some of our loveliest forms of adornment are courtesy of their efforts. The shimmering iridescent dusky mother-of-pearl in this pair of double-disk earrings* is culled from the inside of molluscs (it is the nacre that they produce to guard against irritants). Surrounded by 10K white gold frames decorated with a scroll design, they dangle from sweeping ear wires and will add a captivating touch of the sea at your lobes. *Formerly a pair of cufflinks from Larter & Sons, Newark, New Jersey jewelers.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
