ABOUT THIS WATCH

The word 'exquisite' barely begins to describe the intricate beauty of this exceptional early-Art Deco wristwatch, expertly and delicately hand fabricated in platinum, and dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century. The round timepiece (measuring just a tad under 1 inch diameter) is encircled with lively bright green calibre emeralds, punctuated by small round diamonds, bordered in turn, inside and out, by tiny glittering rose-cut diamonds. The calibre emeralds and diamonds continue on the extended band links and transition to expandable curved links. Roman numerals on the dial add the finishing touch to this chic, sophisticated and stunning Jazz Age jewel (definitely not intended, then or now, for everyday wear). Total diamond weight - .70 carat, total emerald weight - 1.15 carats. Note: Avoid exposure to water.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
