ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

It is unlikely that you will ever see anyone else wearing a necklace like this one. Born out of a fearless imagination, this dynamic Art Deco jewel makes the most of striking colors, spherical shapes, and the most coveted metal on the periodic table of the elements: gold. Double strands of golden beaded chain transition to shimmering woven sections of smaller beads that culminate in an inverted, elongated pentagon shape, dramatically decorated with black enamel and centered by a vibrant grass-green cabochon chalcedony stone. But wait, there's more! Adding extra flair and motion, a fringe of gold beads tipped by black onyx beads swings below. A dramatic, one-of-a-kind, head-turning showpiece! Hand fabricated in 14K yellow gold, circa 1930s, the chain measures 22 inches, the drop measures 3 3/4 inches long.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
