ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Measuring 18 1/2 inches long, this bright and cheerful necklace is composed of 35 natural Burmese jade beads, graduating in size from 6.92 millimeters to 14.35 millimeters, each aglow with a lovely minty apple green color. Twenty-five of the largest beads are accented in between with small sparkling white gold and diamond rondelles, all of which are secured in the back with a platinum single-cut and rose-cut diamond-set navette-shaped Art Deco clasp. The clasp (and presumably the beads) dates back to the 1920s-30s, the rondelles may have been a later addition. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of polymers or dyes. Burma origin.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
