Direct from the days of flappers and speakeasies, Charlie Chaplin and the Charleston, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald--a.k.a. The Roaring '20s--comes this magnificent (and virtually pristine) Art Deco sautoir! Measuring 30 inches long, not including the 5 1/2 inch tassel section, this lithe and lissome necklace, woven of thousands of tiny natural seed pearls, is punctuated seven times with glittering rose-cut diamond-set lattice stations. The lattice motif continues above the removable tassel, this time set with a dozen European-cut diamonds and tiny twinkling rose-cut diamonds, while triple tassels, also accented with European-cut and rose-cut diamonds, shimmy and swing below. This sexy Jazz Age jewel has French import marks, yet the country of origin is unknown, making it a truly rare, ravishing--and intriguing--collectible.
