ABOUT THIS BROOCH

A masterwork of all things Art Deco, this breathtaking brooch beautifully presents a delightful mix of crisp angles, glittering diamonds, and a striking combination of light and dark blue gemstones - moonstones and sapphires. Its rectangular form sparkles with bright, icy-white European-cut diamonds, while distinctive piercing creates cool opposing triangular designs. The resulting open shape--a sleek parallelogram-- is filled with lovely lustrous shimmering moonstone-petaled flowers, each centered with deep blue cabochon sapphires that gleam amid diamond-set leaves. An uncommon and captivating collectible, worthy of the finest American and French jewelers of the period (1920s). Total diamond weight - 2.40 carats, total sapphire weight - .75 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
