ABOUT THIS RING

Here's a wonderful rarity. We don't come across many original Art Deco moonstone jewels, and this one is a chic and stunning treasure from New York Jeweler's, England, Klein & Levy. A high-profile (aka sugarloaf) 5.40 carat cabochon blue-flash moonstone casts a luminous celestial glow from within a swirling surround of bright red calibre rubies and glinting rose-cut diamonds. Sublime. Total ruby weight, .50 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, 14 karat yellow and 18 karat white gold, circa 1925. Currently ring size 6 3/4. Condition note: this ring is best suited for occasional wear.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
