ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

This delightful double-disk pendant in shimmering hues of white and gold, was formerly part of a cuff link set from the venerable American jeweler J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia, renowned for exquisite Art Nouveau and Art Deco jewels. The pendant features a disk centered by an iridescent inlay of mother-of-pearl and framed by white enamel accented with graceful gold scrolls. Dangling prettily beneath a complementing top, it suspends from a 16-inch rose gold chain. Lovely. Crafted in 14K rose gold, circa 1915.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
