ABOUT THIS RING

Dating back to the zenith of the Art Deco period--circa 1925--this fabulous finger-hugger, hand fabricated in platinum, centers on a faceted round midnight-blue sapphire (natural, no-heat), weighing 1.45 carats. The .75 carat deep blue gemstone radiates outward in all directions, from within a delicately millegrained bezel-setting, with glittering rays of small single-cut diamonds alternating with tapered ribbons of seamlessly-set calibre sapphires for a distinctively dramatic effect. A decoratively pierced leafy under gallery adds the finishing flourish to this stunning Jazz Age jewel. Total diamond weight - .48 carat, total sapphire weight - 2.20 carats. Currently ring size 6 1/4. Condition note: stones show light wear commensurate with the age of the piece. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No Indications of Thermal Enhancement. Undetermined origin.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
