ABOUT THIS RING

Replacing the ring's original stone, now a juicy 1.20 carat natural no-heat cushion-cut ruby of exotic origin (Vietnamese!*) glows in an openwork radial surround against an exquisitely pierced backdrop that shimmers with European and single-cut diamonds. Hand fabricated in platinum, the artistic assemblage is supported by flared diamond-set shoulders, while a lattice-like side gallery adds the finishing flourish. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920s-30s. Time to channel your inner flapper. Total diamond weight, 1.28 carats. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of thermal enhancement. Vietnam - origin. *A stunning--and celebrated--find, rubies were discovered north-west of Hanoi in 1986. Many experts believe that two of the finest ruby mines are located in Vietnam, producing radiant stones with a dark vibrant red color.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
