ABOUT THIS RING

Whether lounging at a speakeasy or attending a Gatsby-esque Long Island soiree, someone looked all the more fabulous by wearing this stunning Art Deco ring. The mounting is a masterpiece of distinctive shapes, created by fine piercing work, that glitter with an array of bright round diamonds and is crowned by a 5.50 carat blueberry-blue sugarloaf cabochon sapphire. A pair of exceptionally white and sizable shield-shaped diamonds lends dazzling contrast east and west, while graceful scrollwork along the side gallery and an elegantly fluted shank add the finishing details to this arresting jewel from a most spirited era. Total diamond weight, 2.05 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, it is currently ring size 6 1/2. GIA gemological report states: No heat. Cambodia* - origin. *In the world of sapphires, those closest in color to Kashmir (the rarest and most coveted) and Burmese (close runner up) originate from Pailin, Cambodia.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
