ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Sometimes, the form of a piece is so fabulous that even when part of its original function is a thing of the past--literally--it takes on a new life. Such is the case with this stunning Jazz Age jewel. The striking flapper-worthy Omega pendant watch will no longer keep you on schedule, but it will keep you looking oh-so-glamorous. While the watch itself has a very simple face, it is topped by a 'tower' that twinkles with an array of bright icy-white diamonds--rose, European, single, and Swiss cuts--and pops on the reverse side with a glossy onyx plaque centered and surrounded by diamonds. What is time after all? Total diamond weight, 1.75 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum, circa the 1920s. Chain measures 18 inches.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
