ABOUT THIS WATCH

An exquisite, and exquisitely made, early Art Deco wristwatch - circa 1920s - in glorious black & white. The relatively dainty design is packed to the hilt with sparkling European and Swiss-cut diamonds, punctuated with sections of scissor-cut calibre black onyx for a dramatic and sophisticated look and effect. Notice how the decorative hand engraving on the sides seamlessly transitions into decorative open work. Platinum with original ivory colored porcelain dial. By the fine Swiss watchmaker Paul Buhre, watchmaker to the Russian Imperial Court.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
