ABOUT THIS BROOCH
A highly distinctive architectural design distinguishes this pair of original Art Deco diamond clips, artfully hand fabricated in platinum - circa 1930. Measuring an eminently wearable 1 inch in both directions, these exotic adornments sparkle throughout with an array of bright white baguette diamonds and small transitional European-cut/round brilliant-cut diamonds for a chic, sophisticated, and stunning effect. 6.00 carats total diamond weight. *Gustav Manz created jewelry for Tiffany, Cartier, Marcus & Co, Shreve, Crump & Low, Raymond C. Yard, Udall & Ballou, Bailey, Banks & Biddle, J.E. Caldwell, Greenleaf & Crosby, Black, Starr & Frost–Gorham, and other fine retailers. His animal, floral, and archaeological designs were exhibited at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Industrial Art Exhibition in 1924, the House of Jewels at the New York World's Fair in 1939, and other venues. He also produced commemorative medals, bronzes, and ecclesiastical items. His work is represented in the collections of The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Newark Museum, and The Metropolitan Museum (American Wing).
