Sculpture, architectural structure, exotic headdress? However you see it, this extraordinary Egyptian Revival style ring is outrageous in the best way. Full of color and details, and fashioned with bold dimension, the showpiece of this fanciful jewel is a luscious ultramarine, pyrite-flecked, cabochon-esque lapis lazuli, embellished at its edges with designs brightened by diamonds, rubies, and emeralds - à la tutti frutti - and with gleaming insets of carved turquoise. The flared and exquisitely pierced shoulders are accented with deep blue cabochon sapphires, while a side gallery of openwork flowers, marquise shapes, and scrolls adds an absoltely fabulous finishing flourish. An utterly astounding, head-turning Art Deco-style bauble. Total diamond weight, .55 carat. Total gemstone weight (not including the lapis), .94 carat. Hand fabricated in platinum, currently ring size 7.
