Art Deco Synthetic* Sapphire and Diamond Filigree Bracelet
ABOUT THIS BRACELET
Dating from the Depression-era, circa 1930s, there's nothing even remotely depressing about this light and lovely Art Deco wrist bauble composed of fanciful, crisply die-struck and pierced 14K white gold links, three of which are topped with square midnight blue scissor-cut synthetic sapphires*, while two twinkle with white European-cut diamonds. Total sapphire weight, .80 carat. Measures 7 1/4 inches. *Back in the day, circa 1920s-30s, due to their uniformity of color and flawless clarity, synthetic sapphires were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, their virtually undetectable differences discernible only with a microscope.
