ABOUT THIS BRACELET

Add early 20th-century chic to your wrist with this trend-defying Art Deco line bracelet. Slender with an ever-so-slightly curved center, it gleams and sparkles with European-cut diamonds and lovely square-cut sapphires from the famed Yogo Gulch* region in Montana, USA. Engraving on the sides and fine millegrain edging add finishing details to this versatile jewel, perfect for both fancy and non-fussy occasions. A ravishing rarity. Total sapphire weight - 4.00 carats, total diamond weight - 1.22 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum over 14K gold, circa 1920, it measures 7 inches. *One sapphire was tested, with a determined origin of Yogo Gulch in Montana, USA (it is likely that the other sapphires have the same origin). Blue stones discovered in the area in 1895 were later examined by renowned mineralogist George Kunz (then working for Tiffany & Co.), who identified them as sapphires of unusually high clarity, with a radiant, light-blue color he described as "cornflower blue."

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
