ABOUT THIS ACCESSORY
Magnifying type can be an elegant endeavor with the right accessory. Behold, the lorgnette. This Art Nouveau beauty is fashioned with exquisitely sculpted, sinuous leaves that entwine the handle and lead to a blossoming iris flower. On the reverse, leaves encircle a brightly polished, unengraved plaque in contrasting rose gold (as are the lens frame and bottom loop). Clarity has never been so lovely. In 14K yellow and rose gold, circa 1900.
