Art Nouveau Enamel Floral Lavaliere
90-1-13883
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Art Nouveau, "new art" in French, evolved as a backlash against the machine-made, flashier jewelry of the previous era. The aesthetic proves that utterly enchanting jewelry can be created without the use of many, or any, stones, and that form itself is a captivating element. Exquisitely colored with shimmering shades of pastel enamels, this pretty pendant presents a handful of flowers--two centered with natural pearls--that connect to a pearl accented bail and suspends from an 18-inch chain. For a lovely bit of motion, three pearls dangle below. Sublime. Hand fabricated in 12K gold, circa 1900. New 14K gold chain measures 18 inches.
