ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
The female face and form was used with great imagination by Art Nouveau jewelers as they reveled in the idea that it could be combined with elements from the natural world to create fantastical adornments. This delightfully intriguing piece (formerly a pin) presents the head of a woman, with tresses flowing, atop a crescent moon dotted with tiny seed pearls. A pair of graceful scrolls accented with crisply sparkling European-cut diamonds add a fanciful finishing flourish. Hand fabricated in 12K gold, circa 1900. Newly added 10 karat chain measures 16 inches.
