ABOUT THIS RING
When viewed from the sides, this extraordinary early-twentieth-century sapphire ring is guaranteed to to turn an onlooker into stone, (that is, if he/she isn't stoned already). The central, high-domed (aka 'sugarloaf') royal-blue sapphire, weighing approximately 2.00 carats, is supported east and west by a matched pair of Medusa heads, with her scalar, serpentine tendrils extending all the way to create double north-south prongs. A rare and exotic antique jewel - circa 1900. Ring size 5 1/2.
