ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
This lovely necklace was made by the firm of Murrle, Bennett and Company, an Anglo-German firm started by Ernst Murrle and J.B. Bennett, which produced pieces for retail by the store 'Liberty and Co.', the famous London Arts and Crafts dealers. The company was in existence from 1886-1914, and this necklace dates from around 1900. Handcrafted in 9 karat gold, it is set with a sparkling array of bright faceted round raspberry garnets dotted here and there with tiny lustrous seed pearls. Stamped on the reverse with the MB&Co. 16 inches.
