ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
The Austrian Art Nouveau movement, founded in 1897 by Gustav Klimt and Josef Hoffmann, among others, was known as the Vienna Secession, and had a distinctive style that distinguished their work from their French counterparts; jewelry from the period is exceedingly scarce. This charming and unusual example is hand fabricated in warmly burnished 14K yellow gold and features an elegantly elongated, faceted rectangular, smoky quartz framed in unmistakable Vienna Secessionist style. 1 1/2 by 3/4 inches. The new chain measures 18 inches.
