ABOUT THIS JEWELRY

Full disclosure: these ultra-cool and indisputably hip 'Op-Art' earrings and matching double drop necklace by Cartier existed in a former incarnation as gent's cuff links and shirt studs. We, however, could not resist the temptation to elevate them to another level--your neck and ears! The sleek discs--half satin finished/half bright finished--are each centered by a single bezel-set sparkler, while the complementing pendant presents two discs of differing sizes that suspend from an 18-inch 18K gold chain. Mod and groovy late-60s/early '70s jewels. In 14K yellow gold, the bottom disc of the drop bears the Cartier stamp.

About Mid-Century Jewelry

Mid-Century jewelers gave the Victorians a run for their money when it came to variety—with the added bonus of big, bold gems in every shape, size, and color. Themes of previous eras were made fabulous enough to match the optimism of the post-war world. Transitional pieces bridged the gap between the first and second half of the 20th century.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
