ABOUT THIS RING

Here's a cool one from start to finish. Dating back to the 1930s, this wonderful, one-of-a-kind, late-Art Deco/pre-Retro dazzler, artfully sculpted and hand fabricated in platinum, culminates at the end of a radiant red ruby ribbon with a bright-white step-cut shield-shape diamond, weighing 1.00 carat. The distinctive diamond is further embellished on each side with sweeping scrolls set with small European-cut diamonds, transitioning into seamlessly-set bright-white baguette diamonds, then back again into small European-cut diamonds. Decorative piercing adds further interest to the side gallery of this chic, sophisticated, and stunning vintage bauble. Total diamond weight, 2.90 carats. Currently ring size 4 3/4 with spring ring insert. With sizer removed ring is 6 1/4.

About Retro Jewelry

Hollywood glam got creative during the war era, when strategic factors forced jewelers to do without certain materials. Rather than scale back, they took the streamlined shapes of the Art Deco and went big, bold, and gold with them! Retro power pieces segued from the Jazz Age to the Fabulous Fifties, creating many motifs of vintage jewelry along the way.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
