ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Formerly a brooch, this resplendent late-Edwardian/early-Art Deco aquamarine pendant necklace dates back to the first or second decade of 20th century Switzerland (the marks were stamped on the removed pin stem). The elegantly elongated 6.50 carat cushion-cut gemstone glistens and glows with a captivating crystalline sky-blue hue, framed by a rectangle of glittering rose-cut diamonds set with small antique cushion-cuts at the corners, which, in turn, is surrounded by an oval frame set with tiny twinkling rose-cut diamonds. A fine radiant open slatted design adds the final distinctive detail. A singular, breathtaking beauty hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold. It measures 1 1/2 inches with the bale. The new platinum chain measures 18 inches.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
