ABOUT THIS BROOCH

Evocative of intricately fabricated lace, this elegant early Art Deco bar pin (circa 1915-1920) is a visual feast of fine details. Gently curved with scalloped ends, it is fashioned with an openwork Greek key design, scrolls, and geometric shapes (creating lots of intricate negative space) and sparkles throughout with lively old mine and European-cut diamonds. Wear it alone or create a cool collage with other pins—we'll leave that to your imagination. Total diamond weight, 1.20 carats. Hand fabricated in platinum (pin stem is 14K yellow gold).

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
