ABOUT THIS RING

OMG! You will not be able to take your eyes off this resplendent treasure starring an extraordinary gemstone: an ultra-gemmy, diamond-clean, richly saturated crystalline green Colombian emerald, weighing 1.20 carats and graded by the GIA as F1 (minor clarity enhancement). If you've done your homework, you'll know that virtually all emeralds are traditionally oiled (enhanced) to some degree, and the grading of this one is the next closest to 'no enhancement.' The remarkable gem is presented in an 18K bezel setting atop an intricately detailed mounting--hand fabricated in platinum, circa 1920--between a pair of bright white and sparkling European-cut diamonds, all of which are enveloped in an array of small glittering Swiss-cut diamonds accentuated by decorative piercing and delicate millegraining. An indisputable late-Edwardian/early-Art Deco trophy ring in glorious green and white. Total diamond weight, .90 carat. Currently ring size 6.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
