Edwardian 2.25 Carat Burmese Sapphire, Pearl and Diamond Necklace
ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Dating back to the first or second decade of the twentieth century, this Edwardian jewel culminates in a simply gorgeous, vibrant, crystalline royal blue Burmese sapphire, weighing approximately 2.25 carats. The elegantly elongated faceted oval gemstone-- accompanied by gemological report from the AGL stating: No Gemological Evidence of Heat, Burma (Myanmar) origin--anchors a sweet & lovely lavalière necklace measuring 2 inches long. The gracefully tapered pendant is lightly hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold, and dotted with a trio of lustrous white natural pearls and a couple of tiny twinklers, all of which suspend from an original 16 inch platinum chain. A single dangling pearl adds the final flourish. Dreamy!
