Measuring a quite conspicuous 7/8-inch long, this dramatic Edwardian-era jewel, finely hand fabricated in platinum during the first or second decade of the last century, highlights an elegantly elongated dusky midnight-blue sapphire (verging on black), weighing 5.75 carats. The striking gemstone is tastefully framed by tiny twinkling antique single-cut diamonds (a.k.a. Swiss-cuts) supported by a graceful open scroll side gallery. Currently ring size 7 3/4. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No Indications of Thermal Enhancement. Australia - origin.
