ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Elegantly hand fabricated in platinum over 18K yellow gold - circa 1900 - this resplendent, romantic Edwardian-era lavalière sparkles throughout its curvaceous open design with an array of European-cut diamonds, totaling 2.75 carats. Measuring just shy of 1 3/4 inches by just over 1 1/4 inches, the graceful double-whiplash design, borrowed from the concurrent Art Nouveau period, is artfully enhanced with diamond-set foliate motifs. A consummate Belle Époque jewel. The original platinum chain measures 15 inches.
