Dating from the first or second decade of the twentieth century, a long and lovely torsade sautoir necklace composed of hundreds (thousands?) of tiny natural seed pearls twisted into a 20 inch (flapper length) strand culminating in a dangling, dancing tassel crowned with small sparkling old mine-cut diamonds and pearls. Chic and sexy. The tassel drops a further 3 1/2 inches.
