ABOUT THIS RING
Madagascar--home to colorful chameleons, stunning orchids, towering baobab trees--and ravishing rubies! This elegant Edwardian-era jewel glistens with one such ruby (likely a later replacement). Oval in shape and presenting a rich deep rose-red hue, the vibrant 1.00 carat gem is enhanced by crisply sparkling old mine-cut diamonds that create a pleasingly curved navette shape, all supported by knife-edge shoulders, each set with a single stone. A classic beauty, circa 1910. Hand-fabricated in platinum over 14K gold, the rosy-yellow gold shank creates a striking contrast with the bright white platinum that surrounds the gemstones. Total diamond weight - 2.00 carats. Accompanied by a gemological report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of thermal enhancements. Madagascar - origin. Currently rize size 7 1/2.
