ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
In this exquisite Edwardian-era drop, a scintillating, beautifully proportioned European-cut pear-shaped diamond, weighing .40 carat (but having the outer dimensions of an approximately three-quarter carat diamond due to its spread cut), radiates from within a delicately milgrained bezel-setting, outlined in turn by fine twisted rope, followed by a frame of tiny twinkling single-cut diamonds. Hand fabricated in platinum during the first or second decade of the twentieth century. As sweet as can be. Total diamond weight, .70 carat. The new platinum chain measures 18 inches.
